CHILDREN'S CLASSES
Pups & Pals
Our Children's classes teach young handlers how to work safely and effectively with their dogs, teaching them basic obedience skills and tricks. Additional topics include dog safety and bite prevention. Dogs must be assessed by our trainer prior to entry into this class. These classes are limited in size.
Day Camp and P.A. Day Programs
During the summer and on school holidays we offer programs to encourage children to have fun with their family dog. We teach basic obedience commands, safety, animal care and introduce the children to dog sports. We have theme days and special events, such as dress up days for dogs and their handler. We often visit the local SPCA and talk about how we can reduce the number of unwanted dogs through proper care and training of our pets. At the end of the program, children will have fun showcasing their talents to parents and family members in a small and fun dog show!
Please note, all children's classes are limited in size for safety reasons. All dogs must be assessed by our trainer prior to entry into the Children's classes. We are parent's ourselves, and the safety of our children is paramount. At no times will a child be left unsupervised with any dog. A current Criminal Reference Check is available for parents to view if requested.
Junior Handling for Agility
Agility training geared towards young people ages 6 to 14. Small groups and lots of team building! The rules and requirements of various Agility sports organizations will be taught. Introduction to trials.
