I am proud of the work that I do, both as a Professional Trainer and also as a Holistic Wellness Practitioner.
grateful to the animals that I work with, as they are my first love, our true teachers and my inspiration.
I am happy to share my success stories with you.
Professional Dog Training

Dear Debra,

Both Mac and I are thrilled, and very lucky, to have had the opportunity to experience your training.  There are trainers that are gifted.  There are trainers that are gifted and passionate.  You are gifted, passionate and most importantly, one of the best communicators I have come across.

The day can not be far off that the secret will get out.  For all the dogs out there, I hope this is the case.

Debra, we are all happier, thanks to your guidance.

Sincerely,
John Dowsett
Canine Acupressure and Massage

Brooklyn began seeing Debra in 2008, following an agility
career ending diagnosis of Degenerative Joint Disease.
At the time, Brooklyn was in discomfort most of the day
and at times only walking on three legs.  My biggest fear
was that Brooklyn would require pain medication for the
rest of her life, and would eventually succumb to a
secondary condition due to chronic medication use.
I made the decision that I would do everything in my power
to keep my Brooklyn comfortable and healthy, without
using medication.  Since then, Brook has been seeing Debra
weekly for an hour long session of massage and stretching.
The improvement in Brook's gait has been phenomenal,
and her pain has decreased to the point where daily
medication is no longer required.  Looking back, I only wish that I had started with Debra while Brooklyn was still competitive, as I'm sure it would have improved both her performance and her comfort level.

I would like to take this time to thank Debra for the amazing work she is doing with Brook.  Her quality of life is much improved!

Thank you Debra!

Agility Training

I first discovered Pawsitive Spirit Training when I saw a wonderful white poodle doing agility.  When I asked the young lady, where I could learn agility, she turned, smiled and said “from me of course.”  And thus our journey began.

So in 2005, I attempted to convert a squirrel chasing, rabbit loving, crazy Jack Russell into an obedient family dog with perhaps a little agility training thrown in for fun!!!   Through Debra’s knowledge, communication skills, patience and especially humour, Quincy and I have achieved our goal of having a great family pet and have exceeded our goals in the agility ring.

Thank you Debra , for all of your guidance and expertise!  We could not have done it without you!

A NOTE FROM DEBRA: Angela & Quincy are an amazing team and have achieved some tremendous milestones in the competitive agility world.  I am very proud of them both and it is a pleasure to be their coach!
Canine Massage, Reiki & Acupressure

A few months ago my little 15 year old Terrier X, Brawney, appeared
to be on her last legs, literally. She had been on pain medication from
her veterinarian for some time and was starting to deteriorate to the
point where she could no longer support herself.

I was all but ready to make an appointment to have her euthanized
when I remembered picking up a business card on my last visit to my
vet about Canine Massage and Reiki. Although I didn’t hold out much
hope I decided I would give Brawney one last chance at life
and I called Debra.

On our initial visit, after some pertinent information was passed,
Brawney received her introduction to Canine Massage and Reiki.

I couldn’t believe the difference! She came home and much to my
surprise she was not falling down!

Debra now not only performs Massage and Reiki, but also Acupressure. Brawney has responded remarkably well and although she is still 15 1/2  with all the issues that aging brings, I feel she is living a much more comfortable and happy life. She has been attending weekly sessions with Debra and has a new lease on life.

Brawney and I both are very grateful to have found someone who not only uses her professional training and skills to make Brawney’s life better but who is also very kind, gentle and understanding when assisting an old dog in her twilight years.

I would highly recommend Debra to anyone with a pet in need of assistance, not only geriatric pets, but also performance dogs to “couch potatoes”. Just like us, your pets could use a good massage and would love to be pampered now and then for all they do to make us happy.

Testimonials
Animal Reiki

Dear Debra,

My husband and I want to thank you for the special care you continue to show our dog Hunter.  Last summer he was diagnosed with an auto immune disease which has affected his joints.  When we brought him to see you for the first time, he had difficulty walking, getting up and his hind end was shaky and trembling.  I had no knowledge of Reiki treatments or massage for pets.  After one treatment we saw an improvement in him.  There was no more shaking and he was clearly happier.  We know that he cannot be cured, but he is more comfortable and happier with these treatments.  We know Hunter thanks you!

Sincerely,

Sally & Kent Ackland for Hunter
